Turn Your Computer Into a Centralized Context Server
miyo lets ChatGPT, Claude, and other agents connect to local folders of your choice securely as a centralized context hub and workspace.
No account or card required.
Own your entire AI life with miyo locally.
The desktop app
You use different AIs for different tasks, but every switch starts from scratch. Point miyo to your Obsidian vault or any folder so they can read and write them, even from mobile. The files stay on your computer.
Folders miyo reads as context, from your documents and your captured chats. Share them with AI apps under Connections.

Semantic search
miyo finds relevant passages across large multilingual Markdown, PDF, and EPUB collections faster than an agent's built-in search.
What actually caused the fall of the Roman Empire?
across your books, articles, and notes · matched by meaning
Historians point to a mix of causes rather than one. Borders grew too long to defend, rulers rose and fell in quick succession, heavy taxes and a shrinking workforce strained the economy, and the empire slowly split into western and eastern halves. The pressures built up over centuries.
Searches by meaning, not keywords. PDF and EPUB today, with more formats coming soon.
Years of ChatGPT and Claude chats bury ideas, knowledge, and decisions. The miyo extension saves those chats to your disk so any connected AI can search them and pick up the thread.

Pick up the Lisbon trip I planned in ChatGPT. Let's flesh out the Sintra day.
Your Day 4 was already Sintra. Take the early train from Rossio (~40 min), hit Pena Palace first to beat the crowds, then Quinta da Regaleira, lunch in Sintra Vila.
How it works
Download and install miyo. No account or card.
Choose the folders miyo can use. Save ChatGPT and Claude chats as markdown.
Local agents use the free miyo CLI. Remote MCP access needs a Relay plan or Lifetime license after the trial.
Relay is the paid, encrypted connection from ChatGPT, Claude, and other remote MCP clients to your miyo library.
Set up AI apps and see which ones have accessed miyo.

Your work ChatGPT has no reason to read your journal, and the Claude you use for side projects doesn't need your client files. Every AI app that reaches miyo is its own named connection, and it sees nothing until you share a folder with it. Writing is a separate switch that stays off until you turn it on.

What did I write in my journal about the move?
Nothing turned up. Your journal may be in a folder miyo doesn't share with this account.
OK. Add today's call notes to research/competitors.md.
Research is shared with me for reading only, so I can't edit that file.
miyo logs every search, read, and edit on your computer under the name of the connection that made it, so you can tell your work ChatGPT from your personal one.

Switch AI apps without starting over. Your files and saved conversations remain in Miyo, ready for whichever tool you use next. That's local AI ownership: one centralized workspace on your machine, under your control, not locked to any single vendor.
“Miyo lets me index super large vaults that would crash anything else, and the retrieval quality is far superior. It's a genius product.”
“Smooth, fast back-and-forth with Claude on my phone, using my Obsidian vault as a 'second brain' I can reach at all times.”
“This ability to have ChatGPT chats instantly synchronized to Markdown files in Obsidian (and recreated, if necessary) is a life-changer for me.”
“AI organized my vault and Miyo indexed it. Together with Claude chats it is pure gold. My stack now just consists of Claude and Miyo, and I have some serious incident management going on in there for my work.”
The miyo desktop app and CLI stay free. Remote MCP access needs a Relay plan or Lifetime license after the 7-day trial.

The free miyo browser extension saves your own ChatGPT and Claude conversations to your computer as plain markdown. You export the files and keep them.
You can also point miyo at any folder on your disk: notes, research, screenshots, code, or an Obsidian vault. Plain markdown files work too, and miyo reads and searches your PDFs and EPUBs today, with more formats coming soon.
Those folders become context for Codex, Claude Code, Hermes, and OpenCode and any other local MCP agent you use.
The free miyo CLI connects Codex, Claude Code, Hermes, and OpenCode and other local agents. It stays on your computer and needs no Relay.
Relay connects ChatGPT, Claude, and other remote MCP clients to your miyo folders from web and mobile apps. After the trial, it requires a Relay plan or Lifetime license.
ChatGPT's memory lives in ChatGPT. miyo keeps the workspace on your computer and makes it available across the AI tools you choose. Switch from ChatGPT to Claude and the new tool can pick up the same context.
Only the folders you add. miyo skips the rest of your computer and keeps those files local.
Each AI app then sees only the folders you share with it, and it can write only where you allow.
Brevilabs does not store or inspect your file content. Local agent connections stay on your computer. When you use Relay, a specific request and response travel through an authenticated, encrypted tunnel. We keep operational data such as connection timing and daily tool-call counts, never filenames, queries, or file content. Read the full details in our privacy policy.
The desktop app and local-agent access are free with no account or card. The separate 7-day Relay trial also requires no card.
The seven days begin when you click Start free trial. You will see that prompt after signing in from the Connect tab in miyo Desktop, or while connecting miyo in ChatGPT or Claude. No card is required.
miyo runs a small local server on your computer. ChatGPT and Claude reach it through miyo relay over an encrypted tunnel, using the standard protocol they support for outside tools. You sign in to miyo relay, link the AI once, and it can read from your miyo folders during chats. The computer running miyo needs to stay on.
The desktop app keeps working. You lose the ChatGPT/Claude connection until you resubscribe. Your data stays where it is, in files on your computer.
miyo is a small tray app. It reads files in the folders you chose when an AI asks for them. The rest of your computer stays out of scope.
Download miyo and point it at a folder. Upgrade to Relay later for remote access from ChatGPT or Claude.
